Souq Bistro & Grills By now we all have Souq on our list of fail-safe places in the city, which by the way are countable few. Over last two years weve chosen Souq for most of our celebratory dinners. Last week, we trotted there for one more of such dinners and i struck gold in ordering a fantastic dish which i want you all to know about. BAKED CANNELLONI WITH THREE FILLINGS It comes to you looking like an absolute dullard and almost disappointing but My-Oh-My!! Swoop in a spoon and a potent smell mesmerizes your olfactory senses which awakens the brain for a promising bite of magic! Voila! Im a sucker for Italian cuisine and when i eat such beautifully designed recipe, im enslaved for the following half hour until i finish the whole thing. Automatically, my chewing/gobbling speed reduced to a quarter and i started relishing the taste intently. The dish has everything which can be labelled awesome. All the flavours are so right that you cant possibly debate over if or not youd like this. The three fillings are like a treasure hunt. One surprise after another - Spinach n Cheese, Mushrooms, and Artichokes. The whole recipe comes together so well that i was unable to definitively differentiate between the splashes of marinara and arrabbiata amidst all the bechamel! Both those sauces, in their minimalist presence changed the whole flavor in each bite. Phew! It was the most amazing dish ive had in a long time which was responsible for my transcendent state over the few hours after.
