Source; Indiana Weatheronline - This is for Northern and Central Indiana and Western Ohio. As you should know by now we are expecting an arctic front to move through between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM. That front will bring with it very heavy snow. But the snow wont last long. Think of it as a line of thunderstorms except in the winter. Its a snow squall and will produce very heavy snowfall rates for about an hour at any given location. That means a quick 1-2 of snow is possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph or even higher. That means road conditions will be nightmarish tonight and into Monday morning. Whiteout and near blizzard conditions are likely for a time along with significant blowing and drifting. As the snow squall passes through temperatures will rapidly fall. And by Monday morning most areas will be below zero and temperatures will continue to fall during the day. That means deicing chemicals and salt will not work. We are forecasting this storm to have major impacts across the area.
