Sources at the scene say three inmates are holding a corrections officer hostage. The officer’s name is not being released because it is not known if family has been notified. David Martin, charged in the murder of Jeremy Cole, is one of the inmates holding the officer hostage. He called WOIO Channel 19 in Cleveland and said the officer taunts him. Martin said he has “nothing to lose,” and, “wants his story told,” according to WOIO. The inmates are Dave Martin, Richard Ware, and Kevin Johns. Martin is from the Cleveland/Akron area and faces a murder charge. A jury recently convicted Johns on charges of rape and kidnapping.
