Sourcing Specialist / Executive - Telenor - Islamabad Responsible for planning, executing, analysis and post-contract award management for all purchases/sourcing and purchasing related activities for Network Operations of Telenor Pakistan. Education: -MBA/Bachelor in Engineering -CIPS/PMP/Supply chain qualification shall be given preference -Work experience: -Good understanding of overall sourcing processes -Sourcing/Purchasing experience shall be preferred Potential Career Path: Potential experience in vital areas in sourcing through projects Diversification of experience with rich sourcing process knowledge Development of capability to handle complex negotiations and end to end project management Your typical day at work: -Source equipment and services on the best available terms (quality, price, lead time) in accordance with stated specifications, mainly. This includes preparing RFQs/Tenders, lead from sourcing end on preparation/negotiation of agreement, evaluation of vendors/suppliers offers, end to end sourcing project management (activating/organizing complete sourcing project team), negotiations with vendors, analysis, preparing documentation for PO/contract approval, follow-ups, facilitation and tracking. -Development and Maintenance of contracts and frame agreements as per organizational requirements and internal customers satisfaction. Liaise with User departments/Supplier/Legal dept. Negotiating terms and conditions of contracts. -Develop effective and reliable sources of supply. Identify new vendors. Develop potential vendors. Rationalize the supplier base of the business to ascertain competitive and fair prices for all procurement. Monitoring purchase activities: This includes a wide variety of activities such as reviewing requisitions, analyzing specifications, investigating suppliers, analyzing capabilities, studying costs and prices, analyzing bids, negotiating and selecting suppliers, monitoring the business volumes being given to suppliers, etc. -Post contract management of all the contracts of technology operations domain. This includes contract governance and vendor relationship management as per company strategy and requirements -Follow-up and Expediting: This involves various types of supplier liaison work, such as reviewing the status of orders, email communication, telephoning and faxing suppliers, and conducting meetings with suppliers -Close liaison and clear communication with internal parties e.g. technology operations, contract management team in sourcing, HSE, tax, accounts payable, RAM, Logistics department for matters relating to imported consignments, legal department for legal matters relating to suppliers and/or contracts
