Sourcing Specialist Location: Dubai, UAE Job Description: Organisation Unit Purpose: •Improve the business performance by providing best in class category management services Group in UAE and Internationally Job Purpose: •The Procurement Specialist supports category management team ‘create value’ by supporting the RFP (request for Proposal) process performing online Auction, handle the annual maintenance contract process, verify contract values against budget and negotiate accordingly under the support of the category manager. This is achieved through the implementation of world class strategic sourcing methodologies and the utilization of sourcing tools, processes and technology. Job Content: Create and implement RFPs, RFIs and Online Auctions Use leading practice procurement tools to implement the sourcing strategies including: •Supplier assessment •Supplier financial analysis •RFI, RFQ and RFP’s •Service level agreements •Cost analysis Business Process and Information Management: •Contribute to annual cost savings, supplier and service improvements in each handled project. Work with the sourcing teams and ensure the use of sourcing processes. Gain a deep understanding of the sub-categories worked on to enable discussions around the total cost of ownership and deal reports the analysis to stakeholders. Ensure procurement efficiency and effectiveness throughout the supply chain Support category strategy implementation process and contract compliance: •Actively monitor the performance of contracts under management to ensure savings identified are met and are measured against set Budget, and business comply with the contracts in place. •Ensure contracts under management are updated and relevant information concerning supplier compliance with banks terms is monitored for completeness and stored. Cross Functional team Coordination: •Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure the procurement process is followed and to ensure alignment with the category strategy and educate the sourcing process to internal stakeholders. Maintain Supplier relationship: •Manage supplier relationships for the assigned SUB category under management using leading practice procurement tools (such as cost trend analysis, price change analysis and supplier performance reviews) to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality; keep internal customers informed and involved in ongoing supplier management Strategic Sourcing Head: •The Strategic Sourcing Head must provide strategic guidance for all sourcing activities, ensuring sourcing objectives are consistent with overall company objectives and follow best practices observed both within company and the industry Stakeholders & Internal Customers: •Stakeholders must have input into the nature of service received from both leverage suppliers and the centre purchasing organization. In those instances where Implementation Managers are required to support implementation of the leverage strategy at the business units, the Sourcing Manager must work with them to ensure implementation activities support savings capture forecasts and transition to a centralized buying activity Suppliers & Government Organizations: •Supplier management and Government Relations Cost: •Leads strategic sourcing activities for one or more categories of spend, with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions, supplanted with year-over-year productivity improvements Employees: •Responsible for team of up to 4 people. Category: •Responsible for spend category management between 100- 200M AED annual spend. Desired Profile: •BA/CIPS-BA Essential, CIPS preferred •Successful, multi-year track record in a procurement organization •Specific commodity experience preferred •5 years + Strategic sourcing/category management •Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills •Good planning/project management skills •Strong negotiating skills •Quick study •Superior communication skills; strong interpersonal skills •Passion for reducing costs •Distinctive leadership •Comfortable with conflict •Self starter and independent worker •Able to work in a dual reporting matrix environment and aggressively take the lead on implementation of savings opportunities that affect numerous lines of business
