South Africa Supports Solidarity Programs with Cuba Pretoria, South Africa.-The South African government said it will continue supporting all solidarity programs with Cuba, and will try to explore new ways of cooperation with the Caribbean country. Deputy International Relations and Cooperation Minister Marius Fransman stated that the common struggles and aspirations shared between the two nations ensure a growing commitment in bilateral ties. Fransman participated in the International Conference of Solidarity with Cuba, Western Sahara, and Palestine, organized by the South African Parliament, based in southern Cape Town, about 1,460 kilometers of Pretoria. We want to reiterate our invariable and inflexible support to the legitimate struggles of the Cuban people, and we will continue strengthening bilateral and multilateral political relations, the government delegate said. Previously, Home Affairs Minister Grace Naledi Mandisa Pandor said Cuba can look backwards in 55 years of revolutionary history with pride, because it has played a key role in the world policy. Due to its solidarity with the world in development, it has gained respect of many countries of Africa, Latin America, and Asia, Pandor noted. About one hundred students from the South African province of Limpopo will travel to Cuba to study medicine, as part of the international cooperation program offered by the Caribbean nation.
