South Africans are so passionate about football, there is nothing wrong there..but the kind of passion that we have its suicidal infact its the main reason the football quality is not improving as fast as the investments on it...In South Africa perfection is essential and shortage of it is labelled as a disaster...it is for that reason that players are not given time to develop and make mistakes, every mistake is scrutinised...South African has the pride of being the best football nation @ least in Africa( mostly based on the resources and hosting the world cup) which is true, but that pride have hindered the footballing progress in that SA players dont want to learn from other african footballers even thou stats shows that Other African countries like Ivory coast, Nigeria have over the year exported players to the best or top leagues across the world and they made it...we have the soweto derby which for me is not one of the best in the world bt the better advertised..lets be honest the football displayed is by far below standard to that ManUtd-city or Barca-Madrid..for sometime its either a draw or 1-0...I just wish the passion could be accompained humbleness and will to learn and improve for I believe the football in the pitch have much room for improvement now that the resources are there... #my_assessment_for_football_must_always_be_the_winner
