South Armidale would like to welcome the appointment of Ruwan Cooper and Michael Lord as the co-head coaches of our Northern Inland Premier League sides for season 2014. Those whom have been around the club over the last 10 years know just how important both men have been to not only our relative success, but also in mentoring and encouraging players throughout the club. In addition they have encouraged all those wishing to play this year to attend this thursday night to get a strong team bonding going heading into full blown preseason training in the coming weeks. On this note, we would also like to say a big thank you to departing Head Coach Gary Wright. Gadget took the role on 2 years ago in what was seen as a temporary role. Throughout his tenure the club has seen a dramatic increase in success over its previous coaching appointment with both a major semi final and quarter final appearances in First Grade, and Major Premiership win in Reserve Grade in 2012 and Reserve Grade Minor Premiership in 2013. A key figure in the club Gary will still remain as treasurer but has decided that the lure of playing local football with his son Jason Wright was too appealing to give up on and wont remain on the coaching staff.
