South Sydney players are hopeful hooker Issac Luke can clear his name at the judiciary and fully expect Canterbury captain Michael Ennis to play in Sundays NRL grand final at ANZ Stadium.Lukes availability was the hot topic at Mondays manic media session at Redfern Oval. He has been charged with a grade one dangerous throw on Sonny Bill Williams and will miss the decider unless he can beat the charge at the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night. Hes holding up fine, hes still got a smile on his face and hes pretty confident but we cant control whats being said when he goes into fight it, Greg Inglis said of Luke. If things dont work out well be very confident whoever steps in will do a job but thats not in my control and the clubs dealing with that, but Id really love to see him out there. Sam Burgess added: Personally Im very close with Issac and Id be devastated (if he missed out) but having said that, weve got great belief on whoever comes into the team as we have done all year, so whatever outcome happens then well just deal with it. Hes all right. He cant do anything really except just get on with it. Hes going to fight it on Tuesday but hes just getting on with it anyway. Williams came out in Lukes defence immediately after the game and has since Tweeted his support of his Kiwi team-mate. There is speculation Williams will give evidence at Tuesdays hearing but Inglis and co were unable to confirm that on Monday. Thats the first Ive heard about it but it just shows the character that Sonny is, hed love to see one of his Kiwi mates not miss an opportunity to play in one of the biggest stages of all, Inglis said. Rabbbitohs forward Ben Teo added: I havent heard anything about that, thats nice of him to come out and say that but I havent heard too much about whats going to go on there. Is he going to be his lawyer? Meanwhile, the men from Redfern are in no doubt Ennis will lead the Bulldogs out despite nursing two broken bones in his foot. At the end of the day were expecting him to play. Im pretty sure itll take a lot more than a foot injury to keep Michael Ennis out of a big stage, Inglis said. Burgess agreed: We expect Ennis to play, its a grand final and they dont come around too often so I expect him to do his best to play and the same with Trent Hodkinson as well, I think theyll both play.
