South Texas Update. Our group of folks that are ready to go down to the border and support the ranchers and civilians is growing... Its turned into a really great movement of people standing up. The variety of people offering support are coming out from a very wide background from law enforcement, to fire and rescue, to medical, to people with past experience in such fields, and a lot of trained veterans who have served over seas recently.We have even received support from FOX news anylyst Dennis Michael Lynch. We need more. this is happening and we are going to need as many people there as we can get. We also will need people in the background to help us with supplies and getting the word out. We have our own supplies but the longer this takes and the more people that join, the more assistance we will need. I have established contact with some people already on the ground there and will be speaking with some landowners personally tomorrow. We need some support people. Phone calls to the state offices would be great also. We want to Governor to hear us... Here is an updated version of what I posted yesterday with some additional info.(May 30th)Just got off the phone with Border Patrol. Capt. Barin S. Salas and the spokesmen for State agencies DPS, DHS, Texas Rangers, The AGs office, and The Governors office. Theywere very helpful and did explain many of the things currently happening on the border. This is what I learned... Keep in mind my family owns land in The Rio Grande Valley so we take these things very serious... A. The Rio Grande Valley Sector of the Texas Border is overrun. 5000-6000 crossings a day with only about 2000 arrests a day. B. Laredo sector has seen a slight rise in arrests but a high rise in crossings. C. He said himself their is nothing much else they can do. D. Multiple reports of fences being torn down and cattle being killed for food on private land. E. Hunting stands have become camp grounds for illegals F. Texas Department of Homeland Security, Texas DPS, and The Texas Rangers have started conducting operations in South Texas but are limited on what they can do. G. The Scabies infestation is real. 78% of the arrested illegals have it. SO its safe to assume the 3-4 thousand crossing a day that are not getting caught have comparable percentages. H. The Governors office holds the option to Activate the National Guard on the border ( START CALLING HIS OFFICE- (512) 463-2000 ) I. High reports of car jackings by hispanics around Brownsvile, Laredo, and El Paso (3rd safest city in the country). J. Those mannequins hung from the billboards were blamed on a Las Vegas gambler but some dont think its that simple. K. Basically I learned that the Feds are aware of exactly whats happening and wont do anything so the state is having to divert the DPS and Texas Rangers to go do the Border Patrols Job, and The Governor wont move the National Guard because that could be the thing that sets off a huge disaster with the feds. Anyway. its getting bad from what we hear from sources and we want to help. We have made contact with the locals and we are getting very close to movement.
