Young 14 33 Weather Situation A stationary high pressure system over the northern Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards the Queensland coast, while a fairly weak low pressure trough moves into western New South Wales. This trough will move through central districts during Friday before stalling and decaying over the northeast early Saturday as a high again becomes dominant in the region. Another trough looks set to develop over the states south and west later Saturday an Sunday, bringing unsettled conditions to many districts although rainfall totals are unlikely to be significant. Throughout this period much of New South Wales will experience persistently hot days, although some relief appears likely early next week in the form of a more substantial cold front.
