Southern friends, I hear you might get some serious ice. Please excuse me if this is old news but ... stay home. You cant drive on serious ice. Not just you, no one can. If some ignoramus thinks theyre okay with 4WD, tell them they are a clueless idiot who has no idea what 4WD does or when to use it. 4WD is worthless on ice. Nothing short of tire chains (and thats not a sure thing) and occasionally blind luck will get you through serious ice. Please be safe. Stay home. And be really careful when you step out the door to potty the dog! If youre getting the 1/2 ice I heard, youre likely to lose electric. The lines (and tree branches) cant hold the weight. The second you cant get water from the tap, thats when youre going to be thirsty, so you might want to fill up pitchers and carafes just in case. Its also nice to be able to flush the toilet a couple times a day, so a few buckets of water in the bathroom come in handy (if you live in town or dont have back up power). Remember to put fresh batteries in the radio so you know whats going on if things go dark. Be safe, friends!!
