~ Sovereignity: Crown of Life ~ In life, there are those who consider each human’s freedom a threat to their own existence, namely the priests, clergy, bankers etc. and they all feed at the same trough. Then, there are those, who like children, need a mother/father substitute to guide them. Ignorance weds these two groups of people and for many lifetimes, I counted myself amongst them. In truth, each of us is unique, though we are all human and one day each will understand how much of a threat that uniqueness, freedom to think for oneself, freedom to live as one pleases, really is. On paper, and in theory, the United States of America enshrouds these existential values, but only in theory, and it is here ignorance is making its last stand. In the enslavement of the African race, African men and women should have preferred death to life in slavery. Had each of them this mindset, there would be no slaves born in captivity, no African diaspora; would be captors would understand that making slaves of Africans was an unproductive venture. Still, today, Africans everywhere, still need to understand that individual sovereignty is sacrosanct and worthy of protection above all else; something not to be bargained with, for anything in the world. Yet, the universe allows all of this. The journey is from darkness to light, on the points of square and compass, and frankly, with all the light, life and love that accrue from this journey, I would have it no other way. Ergo, all religion is ‘bad’… for me. Religions are bad, useless, worthless and immoral to me, because I have outgrown them. From the mountaintop, meaning the mire of the lake upon which the proverbial lotus flowers exists, I perceive that the evil religion perpetrates can never outweigh any pretended good it affords humanity. The very first human slaughtered in the name of religion, is dearer to me than anything religion could ever have done since then. Why? Because that first slaughtered human was both the temple and the source of all things, in the flesh. He/she was just like you or I, figuring his/her way through the darkness and he/she had something unique to share that was no less profound than anything any holy man or prophet has said, or could ever say. What they did to him/her, they will, in time, do to you and I. On the other hand, spirituality is finding out for oneself what it means to be human, what it means to be you, what it means to be boundless in a universe without walls or boundaries. Spirituality is as unique for each of us, as each of us is unique, because each of us personally defines spirituality. If anyone finds spirituality dualistic and confused, it is most likely because he/she misunderstood the basis of spirituality; for spirituality’s foundation is you. Therefore, unless your thoughts are confused and dualistic, ‘spirituality’ should not be. Spirituality is existential. Spirituality is humanity. Spirituality is each of us, for spirituality is self-defined, and self-determined. I do not say all religions are worthless to rain on anyone’s parade. I say all religions are worthless because I can see them for what they are… to me; and I share that observation with all and sundry because although spirituality is individuality defined, as we each walk that road within, we discover that we find ourselves thinking similarly, acting similarly, feeling similarly. We find that which in us is human, and what is more, that which in us is our source and that source is like unto itself. The universe designed no humans to follow other humans. Kings, queens, priests, authoritarians, mothers and father figures, are all usurpers of one’s individual sovereignty. Each of us is king, queen, Buddha, Khrist, Mohammed, Confucius, Hitler, JFK, Obama, president Rothschild, banker, chief cook and bottle-washer. We are each our sole leader in a kingdom of one, and to follow others is to abdicate one’s throne and accept slavery, deceit, lies, poverty, inhumanity, ignorance, injustice and darkness. I reclaimed my crown and my kingdom... when youre ready, Im certain you too will do the same. Namaste!
