Soviet Era Mig-31 Interceptors are being modernized by the new Russian Air Force. The Mikoyan MiG-31 (NATO code name Foxhound) is a Soviet-design supersonic interceptor, the world’s fastest aircraft in service today. MiG-31 production was suspended in 1994 and a program is underway to modernize all of those operated by the Russian Air Force. This video shows a short flight with various external GoPro cameras mounted on the aircraft. Maybe a modern Arrow Mk III could catch it? More trouble for NATO.
