Soyem of late journalist Shakil Bachani held HYDERABAD (APP): The soyem of late journalist and former In Charge of APP Sindhi News Service, Shakil Bachani was held at his residence in Gulistan-i-Sajjad area here on Sunday. Provincial Minister Jam Khan Shoro, MNA Sattar Bachani, former adviser to Sindh government Sarfaraz Rajar, Chancellor Isra University Prof Dr Asadullah Qazi, divisional leaders of Pakistan Peoples Party, journalists from Hyderabad, Karachi, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Jamshoro and other districts, notable citizens, among others, attended the soyem. Quran Khwani and fateha were offered for the departed soul. Bachani died at the age of 42 years. He had suffered from cirrhosis of the liver and was suggested liver transplantation but he died before a donor could be arranged. He is survived by his widow, a daughter and a son. APP/zmb/saf/mdi
