Space is limited for the 34th running of Calgary Police Half Marathon…and the early bird gets a break! Typically known in Calgary as the first major run of the season, this race is known to sell out – with only 2,000 spots available for the half marathon and another 500 for the 5km Run & Walk on Sunday, April 27, 2014. Early bird registration for the Half is $85 until Feb. 6, and $95 from Feb. 7 to March 6, when registration closes. The entry fee for the 5km Run & Walk is $45. This is a great opportunity to be part of the event. Encourage your co-workers to sign up and make it a fun team-building activity! This year’s theme for the 5km is Cops & Joggers and prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. This year, the marathon will support the Calgary Police Foundation and its education, prevention and early intervention programs for youth.
