Spanish giants Real Madrid could be ready to flex their financial muscle once again this summer by offering an unprecedented 100 million pounds for Liverpool star Luis Suarez this summer. Although Suarez has played down rumours of moving to Real Madrid, the Los Blancos are keen to replace their main centre-forward Karim Benzema with Suarez, who lit up the Premier League with his 31 goals this past season. Speaking about the prospect of Madrid breaking the bank for 27-year old Suarez, Calderon said, “Luis Suarez, no doubt, is one of the best players in the world and he’s had a fantastic season with Liverpool. Of course Real Madrid could bid for him. With Real Madrid, you have to expect anything – that’s for sure.”
