Spanish newspaper Marca have joined the growing number of media outlets who appear convinced that Arturo Vidal is on his way to Manchester United. The Chilean press have been saying as much for a few days and Mundo Deportivo took on their reports on Sunday and pushed it a little further, saying that Vidal was very close to a Manchester United move and that it could be announced in the coming hours. Marca are just as forthright and they dont have to lean on any Chilean reports. The Spanish sport daily says that Vidal has packed bags and is ready for a Manchester United move. Again, that appears to be a turn of phrase rather than them actually spying on Vidal as he drags his suitcase out of the closet. In Italy theyre just covering reports from the UK and Chile and also rehashing their own old stuff. The stance is that Juventus dont want to sell unless they get a huge offer. Vidals quotes to Chilean TV on Saturday night have been twisted in all ways in Italy. He originally said, when asked about Manchester United and then a move to England Im very calm, and anyone would love to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Calciomercato have managed to change that to Manchester United? Id love to. The idea of Vidal leaving Juventus was once seen as impossible in Italy but thats not the case anymore, it all appears to be coming down to money.
