Speak to Me 12/06/2011 Sometimes I think I was deaf to all that ever could be said. Romance doesn’t come to call, it may just as well’ve been dead. I never hear the come on words, or occasional little lies. Now my ears don’t need to work, as long as I’m hearing with my eyes. There’s a language being spoke tonight, kind of simple and alluring, to see her speak has got my heart, back to life and stirring. “Say what you will, it don’t matter none. May be two - here right now, soon we’ll be speaking as one.” So speak to me without the words, no distraction will prevail, to keep the questions answer, from a communication fail. She speaks to me so easily, look at what I’m hearing, such a voice covered with, what the Lady’s wearing. Every move can speak to me, her body’s language is loud, sometimes hid in the finery, of a verbal cloud. She’ll drop a hint here and there, most others will not know, I’m hanging on to every word, for where this conversation goes. “Say what you will, it don’t matter none. May be two - here right now, soon we’ll be speaking as one.” She’s got a way of speaking clear, crossed legs, leaning back, I wish to keep her right near, She’s got a lovely soundtrack. You can tell she’s hiding well, watch her twirl up that hair, dangled shoe and a laugh, that language is so rare. Now speak to me all you want, you sure got my attention. That figure’s using a bold font, And I think I’m getting smitten. “Say what you will, it don’t matter none. May be two - here right now, soon we’ll be speaking as one.” The music’s right and I‘ve got a chance, to hear a little more. Listen to her while we dance, hips talking on the floor. Use this time to verbalize the way she makes me feel. An honest touch without lies, to tell her I am real. The music ends the message clears, we’re trading thoughts finding chairs, who’d have known the tale was told with so little space to share. A man of few words can hold, a heart that’s heard it all. Make her speak with loving looks, and watch her country drawl. “Say what you will, it don’t matter none. May be two - here right now, soon we’ll be speaking as one.” We‘ve got something that needs said, before we put this chat to bed. I sure like the way you speak, but is your heart still unique? Can you find the words I need, should I continue to lip read, from a heart that’s been emptied. Come on girl- Speak to me I can hear you’re ready to leave. We’ll take this talk somewhere else, a walk, the car, or to the house. Let us continue to converse, See who stops talking first. All full and exclusive rights retained by Author.
