Speaking From The Heart The No Direction Party (NDP) reminds me of a ship without sails. It has suffered a major storm at sea and the sails have been torn to pieces. Thus, it is stagnated in the ocean just hoping for a strong wind to take it to some destination. Yesterday, the captain of this broken ship thought he had found some winds with the pronouncement that the college students in St.Vincent and the Grenadines were being deceived by the ULP government. He alleged that the college was not accredited, so the students diplomas was worth less than toilet paper. What stands out most in this fiasco his how the matter was handled by Mr.Arnhim Eustace, the captain of this rudderless ship. When he heard the news, which turned out to be more commess, he got excited. He felt that his defunct ship had found its sail and was about to take of to Paradise Island. So, he called a Press Conference and he made his announcement, obviously, without consideration for the students who work their hearts out and made sacrifices everyday to improve their knowledge and better themselves financially in the future. It did not matter how many lives got destroyed; how many students would become unmotivated; how many parents would be frustrated. All that mattered to him was his party would win. There is a saying when you dont stand for something, you will fall for anything. This saying is the sum total of Arnhim Eustace. He has consistently made a fool of himself by calling Press Conferences to announce Breaking News headlines that always turns out to be the most outrageous lies. But, he never seems to learn from these grenades that consistently explode in his face. One thing that is clear from Arnhims actions is that his heart is somewhere on vacation. His actions are not driven or motivated by love. They are motivated by an unhealthy lust for power. If Arnhim was directed by love, before he held his Press Conference about the diplomas, he would have thought about the consequences of his actions. Therefore, he would have gone above and beyond to ensure that he had accurate information. That was not difficult to do. Actually, Arnhim, I am told, has access to this information at his fingertip, by way of one of his candidates, Mr. Jules Ferdinand, who seems to have been struck by lighting and has become both deaf and mute since Arnhims pronouncement. If Arnhim had love in his heart, he would have also done all that he could, if the diplomas, where indeed worthless, to repair that situation. Then when he held his Press Conference, he would have appeared like a true leader, in telling about his discovery and his remedy all at the same time. However, Arnhims actions remain consistent with the other liars within the NDP that propagate imaginary news daily. Some of these individuals are so desperate that they have now turned to dreaming up information. Arnhims Independence Speech fits nicely into the category of a vision after someone has been medicating on marijuana. I am making light of the situation because these individuals really cannot be serious. But their deliberate manipulation of innocent Vincentians is certainly no joking matter. In their quest to find the wind that sails their broken ship nothing nor no one is sacred and exempt from the exploitation and misinformation. Today, their wind is named Bigger Bigs, and the port of embarkment is the Methodist Church in Kingstown. Arnhim is hoping that this Press Conference will do what the Never See More Mess rally failed to do. He is banking on Bigger Bigs to get the ships engine going. However, I want to remind Arnhim of two things, the ship is immobile because the key is broken and his heart isnt open..
