Speaking of european values... I think europeans and americans should be reminded that Hitler, nazism and fascism were products of Europe, not Russia. Putin is right about Ukraine. We (the U.S.) supported a neo-nazi sympathizing regime which wanted to assimilate 7000000 population of Donetsk region and many others in the south eastern and central Ukraine who did not want to be culturally assimilated. The government of Ukraine only felt this bold because it had unconditional western support. And when they sent volunteer batallions to shell their own citizens indiscriminately, when their TV began advocating ethnic cleanzing in the East of Ukraine and Russia intervened on behalf of these people, we somehow continued to fuel the hopes of the ultranationalist by providing our support and fueling gruesome killing in the eastern Ukraine. That is what this is all about. Our completely immoral and cynical foreign policy. The blood of 2000+ people in the Ukraine is on the hands of U.S. administration, members of Senate foreign relations committee, Victoria Nuland and others. They resisted all attempts to stop the bloodshed. Meanwhile Kiev mobilized its army and moved it against the popular uprising in the east where people took up arms and voted in the referendum for broad autonomy under federal organization. Not separate. Not secede from Ukraine. To recognize their real and legitimate differences. The core of the first batallions sent by Kiev were neo nazi sympathizers. USSR lost 26 000 000 people during WWII. Did anyone expect that Russians were going to ignore what was going on by their borders ? Can US deal with the openly anti-American Canada or Mexico ?
