Special Saturday Bible Study Series 1 :25-01-2014 Prepared by Pastor Charles Chanda; Pretoria, South Africa THE HIDDEN SECRET ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM! Did you know that there is a hidden secret about your problem as a child of God? Many times because of our spiritual ignorance, we go on mourning and reacting negatively which in fact affects our emotional life. I pray that this series of messages will help you and me to appreciate the dealings of God in our lives. 1. The Problem! John 11 :1-3 King James Version (KJV) Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) 3 Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. Lazarus was sick and the sisters, Mary and Martha sent for the Lord to come and pray for him. This is a sign of praying about our problems. Many of us have sent many prayers to God and have been waiting for answers! 2. The Hidden Secret about our Problems! John 11:4 4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. How sweet it would have been if only we knew the secret behind our problems! Sickness naturally should lead you unto death as it attacks your health system. Thank God for medical science and its present technology that has been of great benefit to humanity. I am sure you and I are also aware that there are conditions that are beyond medical science and needs the one who constructed the anatomic structure. This is where faith comes in. *Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego did not know the secret behind them being thrown into the furnace of fire at that very time! Daniel 3:29-30 29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon. *Joseph had no idea why his brothers had become so cruel to the point of selling out to the merchants! Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. *Job was totally ignorant of the battle for his soul between God and the Devil! Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. The wisdom of God! Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. May the Lord help you and me to fully understand why things are the way they are in our lives. God has good plans and intentions for all his children! Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. To be continued next week on Saturday.
