Special announcement for our loyal Fringe Factory Radio Show - TopicsExpress

Special announcement for our loyal Fringe Factory Radio Show listeners.. Sorry this is long but its important! About six years ago Suzy Moran and I were asked to expand our monthly Fringe Factory psychedelic happening (with DJs and bands) to include a radio show broadcast live on Atlantas @am1690. We were excited to bring our obsession of obscure 60s music and promote the current psych & garage bands we love to a much wider audience in Atlanta and online worldwide. Things have changed over the years! The Fringe Factory monthly ended its regular run. Suzy left for Nola and then Glynis and Richard came on board as my co-hosts and partners! Weve also promoted live music, DJd across the globe, interviewed and met so many amazing bands and even tried to start a short lived record label. And through it all The Fringe Factory continued to volunteer broadcast live every Wednesday for over 6 years. I believe only missing 2 evenings. That sure is a lot of Wednesdays. Well, change is once again upon The Fringe Factory! We have made the decision to discontinue our affiliation with AM1690 and as of today our live broadcast on the station. Its been an awesome run and we want to thank and wish them well! From this point on we will be focusing on bringing our programming and podcasts online. First up, we have made the decision for the Fringe Factory Radio Show to accept the generous invitation to be on our favorite radio station WFMUs Rock n Soul Ichiban where youll be able to stream our show 24/7! We are super excited to have this opportunity to be on a WFMU affiliate and excited for the new things we have planned for The Fringe Factory; including more specialty programs, interview specials, a full-fledged website and more live shows. Glynis, Richard and I will still be continuing to broadcast the weekly show you love online. We will be premiering the new and improved Fringe Factory Radio Show on Ichiban Oct. 15th at 8pm! So stay tuned for more announcements of what the Fringe Factory has in store for all you Groovers. In the meantime we have to get used to having our Wednesdays free..weird! ;-P Keep on Fringin. We love all you guys!! Xo- Vikki
