Special of the week! ****TARTAS***** You have probably seen our display full our beautiful savory vegetable pies. Those are TARTAS. Full of flavor and very Spanish, tartas are made to share. A few years back I told friends and family back in Argentina that I would be selling tartas. They said “Tartas? That isn’t restaurant food. Everyone makes it at home” and I said “Exactly!” Mom would make a tarta and we would eat it over a couple of days. I remember coming home from college around 11pm and starving. She would always have something ready for me. Many times she would reheat a tarta portion for me while we would talk about the day. The following day she would pack a lunch for me with another fat wedge of delicious tarta that I would eat in the park across from the university with friends whose mother’s, many times, had also packed a wedge of tarta for them as well from the day before. The best way to enjoy a tarta is to buy one whole and share with family. But to introduce you to the many flavors we have, our special this week is a wedge of the tarta of your choice and we will give you a free soda, ice tea or drip coffee with your purchase.
