Specialty Crop Block Grant Program – The SCBGP assists State departments of agriculture in the 50 States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the United States Virgin Islands, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in solely enhancing the competitiveness of U.S. specialty crops. Specialty crops are defined as fruits and vegetables, dried fruit, tree nuts, horticulture, nursery crops (including floriculture). State departments of agriculture interested in obtaining grant program funds are invited to submit applications to the Agricultural Marketing Service. Closing date is July 9, 2014.
