Spencer was home over the weekend and proceeded to empty the refrigerator, eat almost an entire pan of apple crisp, and consume every last leftover we had. I prepared roast beef and all the trimmings for his final meal. He sat down, smelled the water in his water glass and said, Hmm, looks much clearer than Miller Lite and has more flavor. Looked at the salad and announced, These green leaves; what does one do with them? On the vegetables, Orange and white vegetation; does a carnivore eat them? The roast beast, Aah, just like venison. The boy has forgotten how to eat anything except sandwiches.
