Spent a few moments looking for a quote or clip that gave some hint to my adoration for what Robin Williams represented to me. It occurred to me that he is the embodiment of why we turn to entertainment. It is an escape. It is so much more than just passing the time. We look for the opportunity to get lost in a story other than ours, if even for a brief moment of peace. It can really be a sanctuary in the storm. He was truly the most amazing story teller of a generation - perhaps ever, but unfortunately he paid for our peace with his own torment. Thank you...Oh, Captain, my captain for so many moments that allowed me to forget my woes or escape my stress. You will continue to inspire the masses and provide that temporary escape from reality.
