Spent a good six hours in Riverside today at the March Air Force - TopicsExpress

Spent a good six hours in Riverside today at the March Air Force Base Museum. Met up with Facebook friend Michael C. Huggins for the first time and had a fantastic warbird discussion throughout the day. The plan was to meet up with him at March, do a fast tour and then run over to Chino to the Planes of Fame and Yanks Air Museum, however, the March museum has grown to immense proportions compared to what it was 25 years ago when last I visited. Truth be told, it would take a couple of days to see all there is to see at March now. We blew off the Chino plans and photographed the offerings there in Riverside. The SR-71 from Clints movie, Space Cowboys is there on display. Also a B-29, B-17, B-25, B-47, B-52, several marks of military helicopters, and almost every main fighter flown by the USAF in the past 60 years are there. The California Air National Guard treated the airplane nuts in the area by flying two F-16Cs and doing several fly-bys. Also, saw Marge Bongs autograph on a document on display.
