Spent a lovely day today taking a boat trip around the other villages of the Cinque Terra. Most you can only walk to or take a train or boat- no roads!! It was a spectacular trip, scenery was amazing and the people were fab. Waiting for the boat back from Vernazza to Monterosso I was not going to be pushed out of the way by hoards of other visitors. As the gangplank came down I made a bee line for it and was about 4th out of 250. I went to top deck and had pride of place in the front seat. I felt like someone who had won a battle!! But where was David with the tickets? Time passed no David!!! Then an Aussie woman came up and shouted anyone here called Sue? theres a man on the quay says youre in the wrong boat oh shit!!! They had to stop the hoards getting on to let me off. To a big cheer and a laugh from the crowd. Oh well!!!
