Spent a nice hour or so at the Granite State Indoor Range and Gun Shop today. Brought my 9mm Ruger P-85 with me but decided to use a couple of their .45 ACP Compacts for comparison purposes because I am very close to buying one for myself. First I tried the Springfield XDs .45 ACP and it was nice and comfortable in my hand and small, light and very concealable. The XDs has a mag capacity of only 5 rounds and one in the chamber. Next I tried out the Glock 36, which has the identical mag capacity. They both had a lot more kick than my 9mm, but not too much to handle. The Glock 36 is a sleeker and more comfortable pistol in the hand however and is a higher rated gun. It is clear to me why it is rated so high! For just under $600 I am going to go with the Glock 36 .45 ACP. :-) youtu.be/bYJgIFQIAy4
