Spent my day a little down. Took the folks to Sunday morning service and then came home to do chores, laundry and cook a fabulous pork chop and mashed potato w/gravy dinner. Still feeling heavy hearted I headed out to one of my favorite type chores and started sanding on the wood plank that will become my new mantle piece when done in a couple of weeks. Heavy hearted and not even that was working. I headed for church at Iona Community Church this evening. The children were such a blessing to my soul watching their animation and loving care of each other and God. I came home to finish the chores trying to drive the ache from my soul... nothing seems to be working so I decided a few doses of the Battle Hymn of the Republic would put my political spirit at rest, it helped. Then I did a serious round of God Bless America from a ton of artist on Youtube to put the patriot hope back in me. Finally I decided that the death of my friend required a few versions of Amazing Grace. I just finished this whole entourage up with this song and I am quiet inside... perhaps almost optimistic, because when all else fails there is always Jesus! youtube/watch?v=Nf0vJiyeLIo
