Spent the morning in Manitou Springs, then went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where we watched a thunderstorm roll through the area. Later, we learned it caused a mudslide that closed the highway we had been on that morning. The restaurant where we had dinner was packed with people stuck because of the closed road three blocks away, and that area was under a warning to be ready to seek higher ground if needed.
