Spiritual FOCUS (Part II) THE BLIND MAN -- And he [Jesus] cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he SAW AUGHT. And he looked up, and said, I SEE MEN AS TREES, WALKING. After that he put his hands AGAIN upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was RESTORED, and saw every man CLEARLY (Mrk 8:22-25) Do you see what happened here? How many mistakes did Jesus Christ ever make? Was he not perfect? Yes! Therefore, this was no mistake, it was intentional. He gave the man spiritual eyes and then restored him to natural eyes. He gave the man spiritual eyes positionally, just as the angel of the Lord named Gideon "thou mighty man of valour" positionally. Then Jesus Christ restored the man to his natural experiential state that he would grow into his already attained positional state. By doing this, Jesus also blessed us with a preview of spiritual sight. MEN AS TREES --“I see men as trees, walking." That is how spiritual entities perceive us, if we are to believe the Word of God, as walking trees. We have already spoken extensively about our relationship to trees in the Bible. We now learn of an additional dimension to that perception. We appear like trees but not to ourselves of course. We here are like trees to those there. How can we be perceived "as" or like "trees" by the spirit realm? Let us pose this possibility: For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. (Psa 90:4). But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that ONE DAY is with the Lord as a THOUSAND YEARS, and a THOUSAND YEARS AS ONE DAY. (II Pet 3:8)
