Spokane Police Major Crime’s detectives are investigating two armed robberies that occurred yesterday, Monday, 05/19/2014. Detectives are working to determine if the two incidents are related. The first of the two robberies occurred just after 10:00 am on Monday at the Subway in the 3500 block of E. Sprague. The male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the cashier. He left westbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. This suspect was described as a dark complected white or Hispanic male, approximately 5’7”, 20-30 years of age, medium build, wearing dark clothing, a light grey hooded sweatshirt, and dark shoes. The second robbery occurred just after 8:00 pm at the Taco Time in the 300 block of W. Third Ave. The male suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money, and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. This suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’5”-5’7”, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and dark colored shoes. No one was injured in either of the incidents.
