Sporting her new Arbitrage skinsuit Erin Kineally impressed again at this week’s TT in Busselton going chicking almost the whole field and going close to rivalling Peter McDonald’s time although he did have the excuse of no TT bars or helmet. The southerly wind meant for cool conditions and was welcomed by the time keepers if not the riders as it helped to keep the very friendly flies at bay slightly. Mark Thomas was first rider away in the long course and keen to impress with his coach on hand but rival Steve Camarri once again got the better of him. Ian Kugler put in a gutsy effort as always recording 28.48 with no go fast gear while Craige once again had all the fast looking gear and also put in a good ride to stop the clock at 28.46. Meanwhile out in front Garry Hastie is demonstrating that he is starting to master the longer distance while Dean Richards looks to be also enjoying the individual TT challenge. Claes could be well pleased with his excellent ride recording 27.10 and up towards the pointy end of the field alongside Ben Hastie on 26.56 and Marten Howes making a welcome return to time trialling and recording 27.01. Lorne Glover from Busselton was having his first hit out in a club TT and put in a great ride of 26.48 while Brian Glover also showed good form recording 29.33. Denny was ready to lower his colours to Erin before the race got underway but still put in a good effort of 26.05. Peter McDonald had to sprint for the line to avoid being overtaken by Connor Lambert who recorded fastest time of the night in 23.56. The standout ride however would have to be that of Erin Kinneally who was only just over a minute further back in 25.06 and continues to go from strength to strength. In the shorter 12km event Isabella Commons tackled the longer distance with great determination recording 26.55 with Courtland Wood putting in a great ride of 23.32. Many thanks to Brian Kennedy for coming down to Busselton to help once again and also to Nat Commons for timekeeping and Robbie for bringing the drinks. The next TT is on Wednesday 7/1 back at Dardanup again. Results from all TTs are kindly posted by ATTA into the database on their website.
