Sports Debate Universe, when it comes to the Wichita State Shockers, Dennis Green may have said it best. They are who we thought they were. The Shockers went undefeated in a lousy conference where they played no ranked opponents all year. They earned a #1 seed in the tourney, knocked out a #16 seed and lost to the first big time school they played all year in Kentucky. They went 35-0, but...against who? On the flip side of this equation, the game between WSU and Kentucky was one of the most magnificent of the tournament. Big shot matched big shot for what seemed like the entire second half. The Shockers were lacking in size and athleticism, but they battled the Wildcats down to the final buzzer and were a Fred VanVleet three pointer from winning it. They certainly have nothing to be ashamed of. So what is your take on the formerly undefeated Shockers season? Should they have even been given a #1 seed considering the level of competition they played all year? Do you consider their tournament a major disappointment, or right where you expected?
