Sports Personality Awards The Aberdeen Sports Council’s Annual Sports Personality Awards Presentation took place at Curl Aberdeen, Lang Stracht, Aberdeen on October 18th and a good number of Nominations were submitted for selection. A Shortlist was created and the Awards Sub Committee finally made the difficult decisions to select the following Trophy Winners – Award Winner Sport Female Junior Eilidh Prise Modern Pentathlon Male Junior Suleman Butt Swimming Female Senior Iona Riley Rowing Male Senior Tim Baillie Kayaking Disability Sport Female Katy Wood Swimming Disability Sport Male Greg Morrison Judo Veteran Award Douglas Sinclair Table Tennis Club Person of the Year Barbara Berx Volleyball Coach Award Sara Paterson Synchronised Ice Skating Team Award Scottish Saltires Modern Pentathlon ASC Service to Sport Award Alan Barron Cricket SALSC Service to Sport Award Katie Barnett Ski – ing Awards Convenor Katie Barnett stated – “ On behalf of Aberdeen Sports Council, I wish to Thank all our Member Clubs who submitted Nominations for our Awards.
