Spotted: Possible injured black and white cat near Nightingale Avenue/Walnut St, Allenton around 9.40pm tonight. I noticed the cat running very fast and really erratically, possible injury to back left leg/hip. As I drove along Osmaston park Rd it ran from Nightingale Avenue down Walnut St. As I got level with Nightingale Avenue, a car was stopped and someone was looking around for what I assume to be the cat, but by the time I had registered what had happened and with traffic, it was too late to stop and the cat was long gone. I just want to share, so that if someone has a black and white, medium sized cat in the area, can they please check it for injury. Like I say it was acting very erratic, so there is every possibility that it has not gone directly home and may have stopped somewhere in pain by now.
