However, please note that the age control dates for Baseball and Softball are different. They are as follows: Baseball: May 1, 2015 Softball: January 1, 2015 Whatever age your child is on the age control date will be the age group they would play in. For Baseball, whatever age your child is on May 1, 2015 would be the age group that they would be of age to play in. For Softball, whatever age your child is on January 1, 2015 would be the age group that they would be of age to play in. Athletes will be able to play up one age level if the parents wish for them to do so. This option is available in the online registration. Please make sure that this option is chosen ONLY if you want your child to play up. The age divisions for this season will be the same for both Baseball and Softball. The age division your child would be eligible to play in is based on their age on their respective age control dates. The age divisions are as follows: 6U – 5 & 6 years old (Tee-ball/Coach Pitch) 8U – 7 & 8 years old (Coach Pitch) 10U – 9 & 10 years old (Kid Pitch) 12U – 11 & 12 years old (Kid Pitch) 14U – 13 & 14 years old (Kid Pitch) Teams in all divisions will be drafted to ensure equality and competitiveness throughout. Districts are based on the middle school districts for the school system. We are also looking for volunteer coaches. If you are interested in being a head or assistant coach, you can register yourself online. Once you create an online account, simply click on your own name and then on the “register” tab. It will then prompt you to choose either an assistant or head coaching role. Click on the desired role and submit it by “checking out”. There is no cost in registering to coach. The only possible cost for coaches would be if you decided to be certified online through NAYS rather than attending certification classes that are offered through us. The cost for registration is $70.00 per player and does not include the cost of uniforms. Coaches will be responsible for securing uniforms for each team. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Our information is as follows: East Hall & Johnson Districts Contact Name: Brooke Whitmire Contact Number: 678-450-1540
