Spring Run-off Affecting Roads Spring Run-off is very high this year. Due to this fact our ditches & culverts are running, in some cases, beyond their capacity. Some water has breached the ditches and is spilling over into the road. This may have a negative effect on your property, such as water, mud etc. running towards your house. Our road crews have been creating berms in some of the areas that are affected most by this problem. However, if you are experiencing any of these issues on your property please be sure that your culvert is free and clear of debris. You may sandbag your property also. Sand bags are available at the County Road & Bridge Pit in Dumont. The sand bags are on a pallet and you are free to fill them with the road base pile. BRING YOUR OWN SHOVEL. How to acquire Sandbags: Sandbags and sandbag fill dirt are available to all landowners in Clear Creek County. Dumont: 3400 Stanley Road in the lot located between the ambulance building and the rodeo grounds. The sandbags are located next to the yellow snowplow when you drive into the lot, turn right and go straight ahead. The road base pile you need to use is the one closest to the road to the right of where the bags are located.
