Spring has sprung so I went down to Verde Valley nursery on Saguaro to replant my pots. Lots of flowers! Bright purple pansies, vivid red geraniums, and shocking pink snapdragons. Well, actually no more pink snapdragons, I bought them all. One of the helpers at the nursery said snapdragons are javelina proof so theyre going in the front pots -- the snapdragons not the javelinas. Lots of other flowers were available both annuals and perennials. Most of them in bloom so you know the colors youre getting. I like potting up my own arrangements but if you dont, they offer lots of premade arrangements or will put a custom arrangement just for you. They have a nice selection of cacti and succulents as well as herbs. My only complaint would be I wish they carried more vegetables. Their selection of pottery offers something for everyone from plain terracotta to brightly covered primitive designs in bold blues, outstanding oranges, grass greens and yummy yellows. Something new, at least to me I havent seen them before, are the wall ornaments made of strands of metal shaped like sea creatures and fish. The help at Verde Valley is outstanding, knowledgeable but not pushy. The gentlemen who rang up my order, got a phone call from a customer right after he finished. So I picked up my tray and carried it to the car. He came running after me apologizing that he hadnt been able to carry it for me.
