Spring is in bloom and were celebrating what remains of it with a good ol fashioned haiku contest! The quickly approaching Summer officially begins on June 21 - so take advantage of whats left of Spring (May 3, 2014 through June 20, 2014) and write a haiku for a chance to win Justice Two apparel! Furthermore, use your poem as a coupon to receive 10% off your food purchase! All poems must be submitted in person. Limit: one haiku per person per day. On June 25, 2014, our panel of self-proclaimed poetry experts (really a bunch of amateurs) will choose their favorite 3 poems. The 1st place poet will receive a Justice Two hooded sweatshirt. 2nd place and 3rd place will each receive a Justice Two t-shirt. Make your poem about anything spring/summer related. Write about the job you despise and the summer vacation you cant wait to take. Write about your new boat and your ex-spouse. Tell us about your love of ice cream and your hatred for sunburn. Be creative, be original, and have fun! Haiku poetry can take on many forms, but what wed like to see is the non-rhyming, 3-line, 5-7-5 style. To clarify: Your poem should have 3 lines. The first line should contain 5 syllables, the second line should contain 7 syllables, and the third line should contain 5 syllables. Example: Fahrenheit sandwich. Somebody give me milk NOW! MY MOUTH IS BURNING!!
