Springtime is upon us which means March Madness for me. I know more about women basketball than men. I follow women basketball in Texas at the high school level. You see Texas has a hotbed of women basketball players. In the summer pickup games at the recs like Redbird and MLK Center, women play against the guys. The guys have to bring their A game or be shamed. In Texas, the best basketball played below the rims are by the ladies. In the NCAA women bracket expected UCONN to win. The only two teams that can beat them is Baylor and West Virginia. Baylor is quick enough and West Virginia is strong enough but everything has to go right for them because UCONN is the real deal. Now the men has always been differ to gauge. Florida is the frontrunner but you can never count out North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky or Kansas. There are always upsets in the men divisions. So if I was a gambler which I aint, I like UCONN and Florida for women and men champion. After March Madness, it is NBA playoff which I dont get involve into the semi finals. I am a Western Conference supporter so I like Thunders or Spurs against the Heat. I dont hate the East but I lives in the Southwest. I would love to see OKC win a championship but! Now my favorite sport is baseball period. My two favorite teams are St. Louis Cardinals, which I grew up admiring and Texas Rangers who has come a long way. I remember when they were the Washington Senators. Please no football news, I am still in moaning of the lost of DeMarcus Ware where he surfaced in Denver. But I will still support the players of the Dallas Cowboys not the ownership. It is almost spring time and love will be in the air.
