Spy Kids, Raimis Spider-Man, Terminator. Origin stories of super hero movies are rarely as interesting as the movie immediately following. I want to see less world building, more fulfilling the promise of the concept. Green Lantern, for example, wouldve been far more interesting a franchise to start after flyboy had decided to wear the damned ring already. TMNT, for example, is a couple good fight scenes following 40 minutes of waiting for the interesting stuff to start.
