Sr.Advocate Sunil Sethi joins BJP,big boost to party’s mission 44+ Jammu:- In an impressive function held at Hari Niwas Palace Jammu on Sunday, senior advocate of Jammu and Kashmir High Court and a prominent social activists advocate Sunil Sethi alongwith morethan hundred advocates joined the BJP in presence of a large number of his colleagues respective citizens, social and political figures. BJP state president Jugal Kishore Sharma J&K prabhari Avinash Rai Khanna, along with national executive members Ashok Khajuria, Dr.Nirmal Singh, Shamsheer Singh Manhas, general secretaries Kavinder Gupta, Bali Bhagat and others. Senior leaders welcomed the Sunil Sethi into party fold by garlanding amid huge gathering of prominent dignitaries. Close to the Sangh pariwar, Advocate Sunil Sethi,remained president of Jammu Bar association on two occasions and was youngest president of Bar elected in 2004. A leading advocate who is being engaged in important and complicated matters Mr Sethi had taken up social issues by PIL in number of issues and provided justice to the poor and deprived section of the society. On number of occasions he attended international and national seminars. A constitutional expert on Jammu and Kashmir, Sethi wrote number of books on law and is chief editor of Kashmir Law Journal and is in editor board of leading law journals of the country . Know for person of high moral standards and committed to secularism, Mr.Sethi remained the bold voice nationalist people of Jammu and Kashmir and played vital role in Amarnath land agitation, agitation against Women PRC disqualification bill and Central University agitation. Addressing the function Member parliament Avinash Rai Khanna said on each passing day the BJP is getting more closer to mission 44 plus and now it seems that party will cross the 50 number of seats in forth coming assembly elections and surely would form its own government after the upcoming assembly elections in J&K. He said with the joining of advocate Sunil Sethi we are getting strengthened. Be it Ladakh, Jammu or Kashmir, a wave in favour of BJP is witnessed & the educated and conscious people are voluntarily joining BJP, as they have realized that it the only political party which can take the party towards development, progress and the good governance. BJP State president Jugal Kishore while addressing the function welcomed advocate Sunil Sethi by calling him the “ intellectual iron man of Jammu & Kashmir”. He further said the land slide victory of BJP in parliament elections and the way Modi led government started functioning, will full fill the aspirations of the people of the nation and the J&K as well. He said as BJP crossed 272 plus target in parliament elections, we too cross the 44 plus target and would form our own government in J&K. He said that gone are the days when BJP was turned as a party of Jammu only. Our roots are now visible in Kashmir and ladakh where have sent a wave of shivering in the spines of leaders of parties like Congress NC and PDP. He expresses hope that the cooperation and support of people from all walks of life will make BJP more stronger and dynastic parties will be wiped out. Advocate Sunil Sethi, while sharing his decision to join BJP, said that he has earned very high respect in the society while working in legal line but many problems of the society do not have a legal solutions. My desire to serve the society in a better way has inspired me to join a political party and in my opinion BJP is the only best choice, he added. He further said that the stigma of feelings under the monopoly of dynasty rule in J&K would only be removed if BJP is strengthened and strengthening of BJP in state would strengthen the common people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, he added. He further said that the need of the day is to educate the people besides changing our own mindset towards BJP. It is platform which is free of one man party or one family domination. He said that in this era of info tech there is more awareness amongst the people and we have to just utilize this mean to reach more and more people with programmes, policies and principals of BJP. He assure the party leadership to work wholeheartedly in achieving its mission of forming next government in J&K.
