Sobitha Thero and SLFP rescue organization a roaring success ! -Basil keeps on creeping into houses of SLFP seniors (Lanka-e-News- 09.Oct.2014, 7.00PM) In the latest discussion held today in the series by the main political parties to resolve issues, even going beyond than merely deciding who is the common opposition candidate for the next Presidential elections , proved to be most successful . During the discussions the common programs in the best interests of the people based on a legal foundation with a view to installing a Democratic government of good governance was accepted by all main opposition parties to the common program who arrived at a consensus. Lanka e news considers itself fortunate to bring this salutary report to its viewers and the intelligent Sri Lankans who are concerned about justice and the country’s future ,thereby sharing our own view. These discussions were held at an undisclosed venue with the participation of a team representing the opposition and UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe , a group of rescuers of the SLFP of which Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge (twice President of SL) is the leader , and representatives of the organization for a just society led by Ven. Sobitha Thero . It is significant to note these sublime discussions centered on the most crucial and important issues revolving around the future constitution , and eliminating the snags militating against a common program, rather than wasting time on cheap half penny worth issues like who is to take up the Presidential post or going to be the Prime Minister , about which certain media and blindfolded politicos are most worried and making an empty din at various nooks and corners. The scheming troika does not attend Sri Kotha swearing in ceremony While the discussions for a common program proved successful, the swearing in ceremony of the UNP representatives elected for the Uva provincial council took place at Sri Kotha today. However , Deputy leader Sajith Premadasa who is taking the stance that the UNP should contest the Presidential elections alone , and that Ranil Wickremesinghe must be the Presidential candidate , and his coterie of supporters , Thalatha Atukorale and Ranjith Madduma Bandara boycotted the ceremony. It is a justifiable conviction among the UNP members that when this common program has reached a state of success and is forging ahead , this aforementioned troika is annoyed and anguished that their own selfish self centered agendas aimed at sidelining UNP party and Ranil with a view to defeating him at the Presidential elections , have foundered on the rocks ,chose the only avenue open to the troika – boycott today ‘s ceremony. In other words , their sinister objective of taking control of the UNP via these sabotages did not reap fruits. In these circumstances , it is the opinion of the UNP supporters that the three schemers are still plotting against UNP’s future successes as their selfish villainous agendas have been overturned, even after UNP’s victory at Uva –the best so far , by obstructing the party from capitalizing on it , and driving home the advantage gained. The UNP members who are rudely shocked by this negative attitude of the scheming troika say , this troika had only demonstrated that serpents cannot change their nature, even after UNP leader sacrificed his position and pardoned the Devadhattas who pelted stones at their very own party headquarters . It is because these self seeking serpents are impeding the discussions aimed towards UNP’s progress and success that the UNP leader at today’s meeting urged , everyone should subscribe to this common program casting aside selfish agendas with the goal of boosting personal images. There is absolutely no doubt that the exposure revealing who are those militating against the salutary common program , working surreptitiously and insidiously to foster the plans and plots of Rajapakses will soon become known . Basil creeps into houses of SLFP seniors Those who are planning Basil Rajapakse’s future aims say , it is Basil’s aim to play a key role in case there is going to be a snap Presidential election .In the event Mahinda Rajapakse wins the elections , it is Basil’s aspiration to become the Prime Minister , and eventually become the Presidential candidate at the next elections. With this calculation in mind , and to make his plans a success, Basil is these days busy creeping into the residences of the SLFP seniors disillusioned with the Rajapakses’ devastating administration , SLFP seniors reveal. Towards this end , Basil has chosen a team of businessmen as intermediaries , and the chief of that team is Thiru Nadesan , husband of Nirupama Rajapakse . After it came to light that Nadesan is creeping into the houses of the SLFP seniors and waiting there while requesting the seniors to stay back to meet Minister Basil who is scheduled to come there , many seniors have excused themselves stating they are not at home , in order to avoid Basil. A few seniors have of course met Basil , but have bitterly disclosed to his face that the government is now rejected by the people not because of what they did , but because of the robberies and murders committed by the Rajapakses, according to reports. Basil who is on a tour going behind the seniors has told about 15 seniors that after Mahinda Rajapakse’s victory , every one of them is going to be appointed as Prime Minister when he met them individually. The seniors who were aware of this deceitful ploy of Basil had had a hearty laugh among themselves in Basil’s absence at Basil’s expense. ‘Last time five persons were promised Prime Minister posts , this time the deception has advanced to 15 prime Minister posts,’ they jocularly told among themselves making Basil the butt of their joke. Meanwhile Basil has appointed a team in view of the next Presidential election campaign. Willie Gamage , Charitha Herath , Anura Siriwardena , Jagath Wellawatte , Ranjith Bandara, Dhamma Dissanayake , the lickspittles and lackeys of the regime are members of that team. What is most perplexing is the promise made by Basil to them that at the next general elections they will all be taken into Parliament . This is the team that is still giving lectures on politics to the bunch of nitwits belonging to Namal Rajapakse’s Nil Balakaya .Dallas Alahaperuma had through the national youth service council had made the arrangements to provide that facility. The necessity to conduct classes for the Nil Balakaya had arisen because the experienced trade union leaders who took part in the SLFP election campaign have by now left the Rajapakses and joined with the SLFP rescuing organization . Meanwhile , Gotabaya Rajapakse has also commenced a campaign with a separate team independent of that of Basil’s . A large number of members of the forces led by C.J Chandraperuma , Dilith Jayaweera and Duminda Silva are in Gotabaya’s team. Following the announcement made by Rathane Thero of the JHU that he would resign along with five Ministers , Basil , Dallas and Gotabaya groups without breaking up are together going behind Rathane Thero.
