Srinagar\11\\: Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani sahib was once again stopped from offering the Friday prayers, second time in this holy month and 13th time in 2014. While terming these restrictions on Geelani sahib as unjustified, illegal and interference in the religious affairs, hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar strongly condemned this. According to the statement, in the morning of 11 July, additional police force was deployed outside the residence of Geelani sahib and today the people were also stopped to meet him. While strongly condemned this action of the administration, Hurriyat spokesman revealed that now the taping of phone calls of Geelani sahib have been formally started and any unknown agency have started to monitor the phone numbers of the head office. The international incoming calls are usually dropped and when Geelani sahib is having any conversation with the important personality of America, England or Pakistan, the phone suddenly stop functioning and he doesn’t get the chance to complete his conversation. While demanding stopping of this process immediately, he said that according to the international law, phone taping is being considered as a crime and immoral practice and it doesn’t have any constitutional or legal justifications. He said that Geelani sahib is in continuous house detention from 2010 and it looks like that he has been put under imprisonment for whole life without any formal announcement. The confinement to the four walls of the house of the pro-freedom leader is adversely affecting his health and government is deliberately doing this so that he will get involved in more health related problems. Hurriyat spokesman said that from last 4 years, the government has failed in providing any legal justification to the continuous house arrest of Geelani sahib and he is being kept imprisoned at gun point. He expressed his surprise and sorrow over the criminal silence of the human rights organizations and commissions over this act of state terrorism of the civil administration and till now they have not taken any serious notice against the imprisonment of a influential and religious personality.
