Srinagar\26\\: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu & Kashmir have decided from today not to send its press note to the English daily Greater Kashmir and have informed all its activists and concerned people to read the news about the political and social activities of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat particularly the news reports about the relief work for the flood affected people in other local news papers of Jammu & Kashmir or for this purpose they can also visit its website. Meanwhile the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat want to inform the people who want to send their donation for the flood affected people of Jammu & Kashmir that they can send it through depositing in the personal Jammu & Kashmir Bank account of Syed Ali Shah Geelani (A/c SB-1723 J & K Bank Branch Hyderpora Name Sayed Ali Shah Geelani) or they can themselves come to the hurriyat headquarters Hyderpora and deposit their relief material there. In a statement issued to the press, hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that on 26 September morning, an important meeting was held at Hyderpora which was presided by chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani and which was attended by the central officials of the organization. The meeting thoroughly discussed the situations after the destructive floods and took appraisal of the relief distribution process of Tehreek-e-Hurri yat. In the presidential address, Geelani sahib said that Tehreek-e-Hurriyat is a cadre based organization and the way in which its officials and activists tried their best to help the needy people during and after the floods was witnessed by the general public itself and they have appreciated the work. The Islamic and pro-freedom youths have generated a new hope of life amoung the people of Kashmir and it is our real property and we should be proud on them. The pro-freedom leader further said that our party favors democratic system and we support the freedom of expression. If we have to register the protest against anybodies excesses or injustice, we even then don’t forget our principles. He however said that despite all these difficulties and restrictions, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat will never compromise over its stand and it will continue its struggle in any way and at any cost for the future of Kashmiri nation. Meanwhile on the direction of central relief committee, a team led by Dr. Naseem Geelani today distributed ration and other relief material amoung the affected people of Sonwar area while as a mobile medical camp was held today at Soitang Lasjan under the supervision of Mohammad Ashruf Laya in which hundreds of patients were given free medicine and treatment. Central officials Altaf Ahmad Shah and Mohammad Yousuf Mujahid today visited Pulwama district and took stock of the relief work going on there. They also interacted with many delegations of the people and received their complaints about the difficulties which they are facing. Meanwhile hurriyat spokesman said that many people who are desirous to donate for the flood affected victims insisted us to open a bank account so that relief process will get easier. Tehreek-e-Hurriyat decided in today’s meeting that for this purpose the already existing account of Geelani sahib in J&K Bank branchHyderpora will be better and appealed people to deposit their donations in that account (A/c SB-1723 J & K Bank Branch Hyderpora Name Syed Ali Shah Geelani) or if possible they can personally come to Hyderpora and doposit the amount there.
