Srinagar , December 11: The city police launched a massive manhunt to catch those who threw acid on a girl in Nowshera area on Thursday. The girl, a student of a private law college, was attacked by some youth from a moving car, police said, and she was rushed to the nearby SKIMS Hospital where doctors said she had received severe burn injuries. It was said that the attackers fled in a white Maruti car bearing the sticker MANSA pasted on its rear glasses. Soura Police registered a FIR following the crime and an investigation was undertaken. Nowshera comes under the jurisdiction of Soura Police Station.
