Srinagar, Feb. 1: While strongly condemning the arrest of Tehsil President of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Mohammad Abdullah Nasir alias Molvi Nasir (Palhalan), All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani repeated his call for complete shutdown on 9, 10 and 11 February to press for the return of mortal remains of Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo. In a statement issued to Kashmir Headlines, while expressing displeasure over the arrest of Mohammad Abdullah Nasir of Palhalan Pattan, Geelani Said that he was once again fabricated in false case with 18 other boys of killing a policeman, which is clearly a road accident. He said that Molvi Nasir was recently exempted by the court from a false case of killing a Surpanch. He said that the police is only fulfilling the purpose of National Conference, to appease the authority in New Delhi. He said that the ruling party with the help of police is fabricating its leaders and workers only to fulfill their purpose of 2014 election drama. He said that the state administration is trying to silence the voice of resistance so that they can maintain a graveyard silence over here. While referring to the Indian Supreme Courts ruling, which favours “the election boycott campaign” as a democratic right of every citizen, Geelani said that the election in Jammu and Kashmir are merely a military operation rather than a democratic tool and whoever opposes this operation would definitely be silenced like Molvi Nasir and others and for this purpose the state administration has began the process of detention. While paying rich tributes to the Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo, Geelani Sahab demanded back mortal remains of Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohammad Afzal Guroo and appealed for complete shutdown on 9, 10 and 11 February. In previous year the people of Kashmir continuously protested for a month, in which more than a dozen people were killed, but the so-called Indian democracy doesn’t bothered to protect its claim of “largest democracy in the world” and clearly denied the demandk Geelani said. For this demand All Parties Hurriyat Conference is going to organize a seminar at Hyderpora on 12 February from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in which speakers would pay tributes to the Shaheed Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo. The Seminar would be chaired by All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani, the statement added. While justifying strike calls, Geelani said that we have no other option to express our concerns and three days strike call in February is to attract the attention of international community towards the barbaric acts and state terrorism of India. The pro-freedom leader also appealed the International Human Rights Organization including Amnesty International to help us in taking back the mortal remains of the two Kashmiries, who are buried in Tihar Jail and pressurize India to fulfill this demand. Hurriyat Spokesman Ayaz Akbar has informed that the chairman Hurriyat Syed Ali Geelani will be back in few days and will remain in the valley during the strike days of 9, 10 and 11 February and will preside the seminar of 12th February.
